Youtube has suspended our user account. So this means we will not be able to upload videos of the games, highlights and such. Seems Google is afraid of the NFL coming after them for copyright infringement after Google bought out Youtube. Anyway we’ll keep looking for different avenues to bring you the highlights and lowlights of the 49ers.

With the Rams coming into town, we wanted to remind all San Francisco residents and Niner fans that Little is coming to town. We wrote a nice catchy tune to remind everyone.

Leonard Little is Coming to Town

Thought I’d share this little online tool that we found out about from some of our message board posters. They have found a site that lets you watch Niner games live online. Go to Asiaplate.com then download what is called the TVUPlayer. From there I believe you can search for the station showing the Niners game. The CBS channel or the Fox channel. A few of our posters watched the game live on their internet this weekend. Sorry forgot to mention, it’s free.

I know it’s not Niner related but had to share the latest news on former Niner receiver Rashaun Woods. It appears as if the San Diego Chargers have released him. What a bust.

I recently came across this article from the fine folks at The Phat Phree:

In case you don’t follow the NFL too closely, the Cleveland Browns recently traded quarterback Trent Dilfer to the San Francisco 49ers for quarterback Ken Dorsey and a draft pick. To the common football fan, this was the equivalent of swapping poop for pee. However, there may be more to this trade than most think. Many NFL insiders feel that the true motivation for this move by Cleveland was to reunite Dorsey with his college teammate, Kellen Winslow. Many feel that Dorsey would provide a positive influence for Winslow. This is the same Kellen Winslow who lost a shitload of contract incentives after missing all of last season due to a motorcycle crash (a motorcycle crash where he hit a curb in a parking lot and had no license, or helmet).

FYI. Javon Walker has not been traded to the 49ers. Kwame Harris is still a 49er, and the Niners have not traded for or signed anyone today. Watch for reports today. Incase some are unaware of this. Today is April 1st, better known as April Fools Day. So take anything you hear today, with a grain of salt. 99.9% of reports today will most likely be fabricated. We here, however, are not going to jump on the April 1st bandwagon. We’ll leave that up to those other pranksters.

Updating previous reports that Givens re-signed with the Patriots.

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports agent Brad Blank said a Houston Chronicle report saying free agent WR David Givens (Patriots) has re-signed with the New England Patriots was erroneous. Blank said “anything is possible” at this stage. This is the second erroneous report this weekend involving a Givens signing

Labor peace was restored to the NFL when the owners agreed to the players’ union proposal, extending the collective bargaining agreement for six years.

There were no further details on the agreement, including whether it includes expanded revenue sharing.

The vote was 30-2, with Buffalo and Cincinnati, two low-revenue teams, voting against it.

Free agency, put off twice by the protracted negotiations between the owners and players, now will start at 12:01 a.m. ET on March 10.

Reports are that the salary cap under the extended CBA is expected to increase to $102 million in 2006, and $109 million in 2007. An increase of less than $8 million in 2006, far less than anticipated.
