And I'm worrying about Smith's arm strength again. They've got four games to go. They should beat the Packers and the Cardinals, and should lose the other two. Any better than that is cause for celebration. Any less is a better draft pick. You gotta be in it for the long haul. And the long haul isn't the playoffs this year. Look, the Niners are a 5-7 team. I mean it happened last week with that fumble, then this week were a few blown calls, and throughout the season we have been getting shafted. Seriously it wont matter how much better we get or how many better players we get if we keep getting the shaft like this. We might land Nate Clements but the most likely scenario is that we get Adalius Thomas before anybody. Nolan and Singletary coached him in Baltimore and he would go on the opposite of Manny Lawson in the 3-4. That would allow us to slide Brandon Moore inside where the coaches think he is best suited. In that situation, it would be best for us to add at least that one free agent (Thomas) and get much better, and we could also get a SS like Michael Lewis or a FS like Ken Hamlin or both or whoever Nolan and McLoughan decide to get. I would think the MLB we get would probably be in the draft and I think it could be Patrick Willis from Ole Miss. It's still too early to tell but he is a mid first rounder and thats where we'll be and he is a stud with incredible character.
