I think that when Erickson was hired, York was still a new owner with a terrible GM whom he considered to be adequate because he had worked under Bill Walsh. He trusted Donahue's pick and because York was still new as an owner, he didn't know what he was getting into. All he knew was that Erickson was a very successful college coach with some experience in the pros. I think he learned a lot in that time when Erickson was coach and when Mike Nolan interviewed and had that attitude that York knew was needed, he went with it. I have never been a huge York fan. In fact I used to hate him. I loved Eddie D., but I can say that it looks like York really wants to become a good, if not great, owner and he's doing everything he needs to to rebuild his severely damaged reputation.

WHOEVER SAID WE WERE BETTER OFF WITH ERICKSON SHOULD GET A CUM SHOT DIRECTLY DOWN THE ESPHOGUS. THE MOMENT I SAW HE GOT HIRED I KNEW THAT PIECE OF SHIT WASN'T GONNA DO SHIT FOR THE TEAM. HE JUST LOOKED FUCKIN LOST THE WHOLE TIME, JUST LIKE ART SHELL DOES NOW. I WAS GLAD THE MOMENT HE WAS FIRED AND I'M STILL CONFUSED ON HOW HE EVER GOT THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE.

"Wow, you guys are possibly the worst “fans” I have ever seen.

We are working with a 22 year old QB, and a terrible defense.

Coach Nolan is doing a VERY good job. Where were we last year?

Oh that’s right, in last fucking place with one of the worst teams I have ever seen. Alex Smith has progressed and when V. Davis comes back we’ll have a top 15 offense in the league.

Now, lets recap the Bears games:

@ GB 26-0
vs. DET 34-7
@ MIN 19-16
vs. SEA 37-6
vs. BUF 40-7
@ ARI 24-23

LOOK AT THOSE SCORES.

You guys are terrible fans."

I posted this after the Chicago game when everyone was bitching about Nolan and saying that he was a terrible coach, the Niners were better with Erickson(LOL) and other things. All those people who were trashing Nolan and the Niners have no right to be celebrating with us true fans now.

Great game, to give some credit to Alex Smith (besides the great performances by GORE and our Defense and the end.... DAMN I CAN´T BELIVE I JUST SAID THAT!!!), the kid is certainly a smart QB, his really taking care of the ball, and slowly imporving his completion percentage (76% on this one and 70% in the last 3 games with just one INT). I really love what Turner is doing with him. I do think he needs to take a bigger leadership roll in the team, take control down the end and move the chains consistently. Let´s hope VD gives us that additional punch we need down the end zone. GREAT WIN, ROLLING WITH NOLAN.... GORE THE WHORE.... AND MOORE THE BEAST. PLAYOFFS GET READY FOR THE NINERS CAUSE WERE COMING SOONER THAN ANYONE EXPECTED.

Just one extra thought, we should´ve gone for the 4th down after the over rule.... and what the hell is that about "just a few inches before he roke the plane". Come on REF, BE SERIOUS!!!

Great performance by the team yesterday. Should have had it won easily, what with the missed FGs, the ridiculous overturn of Battle's 2nd and Gore's fumbling....but 3 wins in a row? Fantastic stuff. And with Alexander obviously needing time to get back into shape, and Hasselbeck also returning from injury, we have a real shot at the division.

Unfortunately, we don't exactly have the easiest of schedules. We've got the Saints in the Superdome (though they have been poor lately), a Seattle team that may have Alexnader and Hasselbeck approaching full fitness and the Broncos in Denver. I don't know if we'll do it; Nolan certainly deserves some Coach of the Year votes, though.

So the only question I have- Has Nolan completely taking over the D? I see him gathering them on the sideline, and really getting after them. Has he taken away authority from Billy Davis? I just don't see what has caused such a great turn around on the defense.

But I'm not complaining, 3 in a row, go Niners!!
