Plus it gives google something like 2/3rds of the internet video market. So regardless of what they do with it, they won't have much competition.. It was fun while it lasted, but it was never going to last. YouTube was violating copyright law like crazy and lawyers from here, there and everywhere have been serving YouTube like crazy with Cease and Desist orders. It's not just this account, it's everywhere. The Comedy Channel stuff is gone (Colbert Report, Daily Show). Music videos are going away. Football games, beyond "fair use" excerpts are gone. People are surprised? It was fun while it lasted, but it was never going to last.
