Update: Troy Vincent has signed with the Redskins.
ESPN is reporting that veteran Troy Vincent may visit the 49ers at some time. However they also mention that Vincent is looking to sign with a team that has playoff aspirations and not one rebuilding. I’m guessing if he visis it is because he has friends in the Bay Area and hasn’t seen them in a while and now is the best time to catch up.

If he wanted to sign with a team that has “playoff aspirations”, then why sign with the redskins?

i don’t kno what makes less sense…the niners not having playoff aspiriations (what team in the nfl doesn’t, even at 0-5?) or the redskins HAVING playoff aspirations…now the redskins defense is even OLDER!

I believe that Troy wanted to get out of Buffalo but wanted to stay on the east coast. Redskins aren’t going anywhere and Troy being the president of the NFLPA he has to be smarter than this decision.

i just saw that too, however didnt Roman get hurt, and Damn I was wrong about Fields, he looked pretty decent. However i would never bring in Buchanon, not even for a look, hes exctly like Randy Moss, Charles Woodson, and all of the other magnificent underacheiving raiders

Philip Buchanon was just released by the Texans. I’d def. take a hard look at him if im the 49ers. He’s a former first round pick still young. Never know could turn it around if not he’s not a bad nickel or dime option. Better then marcus hudson.
