From my understanding of the practice squad, its a group of guys the team uses during the week to help them practice and gameplan against an opponent. For example, with the Chiefs and Raiders coming up, Maxwell may do a better Gardner and Moss impression than Rodgers could. Then again, I could be completely wrong...
