Nhat Duong Nguyen-Tran, you are an idiot. Baas is a bust? HA! Baas is the future. Last year he was one of the few bright spots in a struggling offensive line. This year, we have veterans playing the line and, for the first time in a very very long period, we have DEPTH at o-line!

Nhat Duong Nguyen-Tran, do not jump to conclusions. Have you seen anything so far this year that has even prompted you to criticize the offensive line? Alex Smith has not been sacked a single time! The o-line is holding up, and doing a great job. I see the 49ers implementing a method now commonly used by the Eagles. If one guy goes down, you ease another lineman into his place. It is genius, really. In our case, I think Baas may turn out to be one of the best lineman on the team and one of the best in the NFL in the future. The dude is a hybrid and can play multiple offensive positions.

Hey fellas, we need to lock up Frank Gore!! Get him cheap than get him late. If we wait around for him to make the pro-bowl, he will have a pricey ticket to his name.

Nhat Duong Nguyen-Tran...you are an idiot!! hahaha that last one made me laugh sooo fucking hard.

Baas has been working at center once newberry went out for the season. Nolan wanted a solid backup because if heitmen goes down Baas can could fill the role with ease. Baas started a few games last season and two of his starts the 9ers one the game. You are a joke...Nhat Duong Nguyen-Tran dont come back to this site ever again!!1

God, you 49er faithfuls take everything up the ass huh? the way you guys reject the idea that baas may be a bust is straight denial. when larry allen went down, wragge went in to replace him. how the fuck are you guys saying that he will eventually replace "big nasty" if he isn't even the primary backup for him. hell, he's behind an undrafted lineman (tony wragge) on the depth chart.

Yeah, that Bass comment was stupid and why would you worry about who is a bust or who's not when we have several players we drafted in the last couple years that are doing very well. Our overall success of our drafts and free agent signings the last two years has been great. Why nitpick?

"Anyone else tired of Nhat Duong Nguyen-Tran’s stupid, irrelevent comments?"

YES!!!

I think Baas will be the future at center, and a VERY solid one at that. I'm not sure on this, but I think Bass has a longer rookie deal than Snyder. That could be the only reason we are not looking to sign him YET.

Dave you said:
I’m pretty sure in the next offseason we’ll address defense and the offensive line.

I agree with the defense part but what makes you think offensive line? Jennings signed a 6 year contract with the 9ers, Allen will be in his final year as a niner next year, you have to solids at center (Baas or heitmen), at RG you have smiley or depending on who the center you will have heitmen or baas as a backup or starter, then snyder i hope for RT.
Next offseason i dont see many offensive moves but maybe picking up a pro bowl type FB, inless D. Walker fills that role by the end of the season. And maybe a good WR so battle can be a money # 3 guy because i think he could kill the other team as a slot WR.
On the other side of the ball you know that they are going to get some more DL help, a solid corner to go with spencer (walt will be getting up there in age by next year), and an OLB because Moore will make the transistion to MLB for Jeff ulbrich next year.
If im missing something help me out guys because i dont see nolan going for another FS or a SS.

The offense is beginning to look like a threat, and we are starting to lock up our young talent. We have drafted one heck of a solid offense. Let's focus on the defense in the draft next year. We are contending in 2009-2009 season, guarantee.

Only offensive move i'd like to see in the offseason is a legitimate #2 received, or a fantastic #1 and move Bryant to #2. Other than that, we need to look at the defense. The line, the linebackers, the corners. Spencer needs a shut down corner on the other side.
