Honestly, he's 21 now? very young--most QB's don't really develop until much later, so i'm not worried about that. just because he got tossed in with the lions last year doesn't mean he needs to go back again. dilfer could still teach smith a lot if he were on the field. D--I do agree with you that it's not all Smith's fault. I'd definitely like to see him have the opportunity to get into more of a rhythm before making any judgements though. just some thoughts. Not to mention Vernon missed the block that resulted in the fumble, which led to the charger TD. So, once again Smiths stats will suck and again, it won't be all on him. I feel bad for A. Smith.
