Arnaz Battle has yet to start a preseason game for the 49ers this summer, but Mike Nolan said that could change Saturday in Dallas.
Battle has practiced extensively this week, and Nolan said the receiver’s infirm right knee appears to be responding well to new treatment. Battle suffered a bone bruise and a strained ligament in the joint last season and has dealt with swelling.
“He’s a lot better than he was.” Nolan said. “I actually thought today was the best he’s looked (this summer). There wasn’t much hobble.”
With Battle limited in practice, Bryan Gilmore has started opposite Antonio Bryant the past two weeks. Nolan said he’d decide today whether Battle or Gilmore will start against the Cowboys.

Word. The bootlegs we did vs. CHI looked better than the Donkey’s doing it (and that’s’ their signature)! But Smith needs continuity with his wideouts, too. Thankfully, Bryant has been a champion for us thus far. But, our #2 and 3 receivers seem pretty mangled… Is it going to be Bryant / Battle / Gilmore / Williams?

Yo if matt lienart can holdout,not have that much practice and come in and throw a touchdown faster than alex smith can in preseason then somethings wrong here.
That game last week was fucking depressing and for us to go out there and beat dallas then we have to get a good game from alex smith and the rest of those cats.
I’m going to say it again I can’t take another losing season and I’m being honest but we don’t look all that fucking good I was happy about the first game but alex smith (no fuckin touchdown passes) and last week two INT’s yeah I know it’s only preseason and all that but the texans look better than us in the preseason I DON’T FEEL GOOD ABOUT US RIGHT NOW.
