There were reports earlier today from Fox Sports Radio’s ‘The Drive’ that the Jets may be interested in Kevan Barlow since the trade for Lee Suggs fell through. Here is what Nolan had to say.
“We have not had serious conversations with the Jets,” Nolan said. “I don’t know where that came from.”
Update: LB Parys Haralson sustained a left foot strain during the morning practice. Results of an MRI examination were inconclusive, and coach Mike Nolan said he would not have an idea how much practice time the rookie will miss because of the injury.
The strain is at the bottom of Haralson’s foot. Nolan said the injury is nowhere near as serious as the season-ending plantar fascia tears that TE Eric Johnson and CB Mike Rumph sustained last year. When asked if Haralson’s injury was a tear or partial tear, Nolan said, “It’s a strain.”

Update: Seems the 49ers PR department is disputing the report regarding Haralson’s injury. Appears to be a wait and see until official word from comes Nolan.

Seems the Niners have no longer evaded the injury bug. Matt Maiocco reported earlier today that LB Parys Haralson injured himself during practice this morning. We are hearing that the fear is Haralson tore the plantar fascia in his foot and could possibly be lost for the season.

Highlight of the morning practice was a late-game situation drill. The first-team offense took over at its own 40 with 1:00 on the clock.
The Alex Smith-led offense managed six plays. He completed a 12-yard pass to WR Bryan Gilmore; incomplete to WR Brandon Williams; nice defense on a pass 20 yards down field by CB Walt Harris; Gilmore for 15 yards; Barlow swing pass from Smith for 4. With the ball on the 31 and 16.4 remaining, Smith dropped back and heaved a pass into the right back corner of the end zone. Guess who was there? That’s right, Antonio Bryant made the scoring grab a step behind CB Shawntae Spencer.
