We have learned the Niners have agreed to terms with DT Lance Legree, pending physical. Legree is a six year vet who came into the league with the New York Giants and spent last season with the New York Jets. Announcement should come from the 49ers after physical has been passed, and the deal physically signed.

Very few people just strat out as superstars so “journeymen” is just a label. Some guys need time and some just wont cut it. You sign them to provide competition and hope that one of them turns into something special. Don’t forget some of the Journeyment the 49ers got rid of like Ted washinton, Brenston. Buckner.

Its official, 49ers.com reprted it. Terms wer4e not disclosed, but im guesing its a 1yr/ $585K Deal. And with this signing it would put us at around $8M under the cap.
