According to ESPN.com’s John Clayton, the asking price for Lelie is a third-round pick and there are teams willing to give up a fourth-rounder. The situation is stalemated at the moment, but a receiver injury could speed up the process. It’s not going to be a matter of if Lelie is traded. It’s a matter of when Lelie is traded.

Ah this is a toughie. Typically, the 3rd round to me is the most interesting because there’s so many steals in that round. We didn’t want to give up our 3rd rounder for Ahmad Brooks, does anybody think we may give it up for Lelie? I’d give up our 4th rounder in a heart beat but having that 3rd round pick is always nice. And I really like our WR corps right now. I think everybody just wants another known receiver before the season starts. It wouldn’t hurt, but we haven’t even gotten to see alot of the WR’s play that we acquired over the offseason. I think we should stay put and give these guys a chance. And hell, if our WR’s underproduce this season, we can always snag another one next offseason.

Talent wise he is worth a third, but the 49ers already have a lot of competition at WR, and Lelies demand to be a number one guy might make his ego too much of a detriment to take the risk. No matter how much success the 49ers have this year a third is much more significant than a fourth, of which the 49ers have an extra for next year. Next year also purports to be deep at WR

alot of hostilaty gentlemen. I think we do need one more reciever regarless. I would prefer Porter over Lelie but Lelie has a lot to porve so he is going to play his ass off for who ever gets him. If battles knee starts going out and we don’t pick up one more reciever we are straight screwed gentlemen!

Lelie is a slightly larger version of Brandon Lloyd – talented, is capable of making spectacular plays along the sidelines but unwilling to go across the middle. As such he can never be more than the 3rd option, and thus he is not worth a 3rd round pick. Personally I wouldn’t want him based on the rep at Denver of being a bit of a malcontent who “took plays off” when they didn’t go to him.
As to Porter – Nah, another head case who isn’t worth the money the Raiders want. Someone may pony up the cash and the draft picks the Raiders want but they will be getting a less talented version of TO.

Forget Porter! We went through that cancer with T.O. A 3rd rounder is a 50/50 chance he’ll be anything at all. A 3rd round for Lelie is a good trade, He’s a proven receiver. 49ers has been rebuilding for the last 5 years, forget testing our new receivers. Is time to start signing some proven players and start shooting for the playoffs. our team is about 15 million dollars under the salary cap! John York start spending the money

John Clayton looks like a wiesel…and gets trashed on by everyone on ESPN. I don’t give a fuck about how much money you make, you aren’t respected by your peers…you skinny bitch. Somebody put a cock in his mouth…please, perhaps sean Sean Salisbury would be able to accommodate.

Either Porter or Lelie are better than our current second or third receivers. Why not take one of them plus they are both young and have something to prove.

Im not sure about you guys but I want to see Gilmore play some. He is just as fast as VD….fucking shit there is a deep threat. I heard the only reason he didnt play a ton was because he used to have a hamstring problem…and now it looks like it has gone away.

I’m not sure why any of you would want to have another TO on the team
Niether one of these guys is worth our time. I would rather go with who we have and draft someone next year. Also why bring in a guy who will whine about not getting the rock with a QB that is still way to young to deal with him. Smith needs guys who will grow with him and not stunt his growth
