the same team that would draft an overrated defensive end instead of reggie bush

Well said EazyE! Niners win on this trade.

At least we got our 7th rounder(if it’s a 7th)back for the Dorsey trade.

If nolan has convinced someone to trade for Pickett, he really is a genius.

I would take a jock strap for Pickett

this kid is good. nolan loved him so i loved him too. i think its a 2nd or 3rd rounder since pickett has such great value. he can play any position except maybe the o-line or d-line

Ed…it will be a 7th. Nolan knew Pickett was going to be cut. So he found someone willing to take Pickett off their hands, and the Texans were dumb enough.

So we’ve traded a scrub for a pick, signed a vet DE…errm…and released a scrub WR.
Nolan…you really ARE a genius…

erikson ur so right, if texans waited a little longer they would have signed him as a FA, now we get a possible 7th rounder? im with it, plus knowing nolan he will use that pick as bait to try and trade up a round or two next year, ROLLIN WITH NOLAN!

Yeah, it was smart to get rid of him. He was going to get cut anyways, mine as well get a pick for him no matter how late of a pick it is.

this guy is a utility man.. we lost him just for a 7th rounder. we just got ripped off. this guys babe ruth; he can play both offense and defense SUPERBLEE. can u imagine the rivalry between he and mario williams in practice.. SAVAGE

This looks like a good deal for everyone. Pickett was never going to play anyways in San Fran and now we get a 7th round pick to use on a wide receiver (what else would we use it on). Pickett will end up being the 2nd string QB in Houstan.

LOL
new banner? no more arnaz battle? that injury plagued WR who never lived up to his expectations of being a #1 receiver ….

Now, if only we could convince someone to trade us for Alex Smith…........

MJ you cock sucker. Go to hell, cause A. Smith is the shit.
11 hours after the fact.Matt K said:
Forrest did you mean alex played like shit? That would make more sense. Lets hope the kid plays better now that he has a decent supporting cast, otherwise we just drafted a guy that will make people forget about Ryan Leaf.

This is for a conditional 7th round pick, meaning Pickett probably has to make the team in order for us to get the pick. So it’s no guarantee we will get anything for him being traded. So we basically released him. Quit standing up and crying about it. They’ve been saying he’s the odd man out for weeks and now you want to bitch about it? We are solid at backup now let him go and try and earn a better shot at playing time instead of holding a clip board for us.
