But, that doesn't mean the other dregs in the secondary are better than him. "Bias" should never taint a head coaches roster decisions. "Bias" against your predecesseor's draft picks causes mistakes. You wouldn't cut Bryant Young because he was idiot Vinnie Cerrato's draft pick. You wouldn't cut Jeremy Newberry, Jeff Ulbrich or Kevan Barlow because Terry Donahue drafted them. The only reason Rumph should be cut or traded is because the he isn't one to the 49ers' five best cornerbacks. If "bias" plays any roll in Nolan's decision, his reputation as an honest, straight shooter among the players will be ruined.
