The 49ers gave Brooks a medical examination Thursday (06.29.06), then spent three hours with him at the team’s Santa Clara facility. However Nolan was on vacation when Brooks visited. Brooks’ agent, Greg Williams said his client has met with officials from the Bengals, Browns, Dolphins, Giants and Packers, and that the Bears have shown strong interest, as well. Three other teams have also shown interest but no visits have been scheduled.
One thing is certain. According to McCloughan, money is not a issue on the Niners drafting Brooks high.
“Not at all,” he said earlier this week. “We’re all about getting as many good young guys as we can because we’re still rebuilding.”

We have to use a pick from next years draft. Every team that wants to pick a player will bid one of there draft picks on the player. The lowest round pick submitted will win that team the player that they bid on.
