Supposedly his college coach says he lacks effort... but perhaps a year off has changed that. I say Nolan should only go after him if he's 100% sure the guy has turned around. Actually, when you make a pick in the supplemental draft, you have to give up a pick in the same round in next years draft. For example, if the Niners took Brooks in the 4th round of the supplemental draft, they’d have to give up a 4th rounder next year.

The Niners should be getting some compensatory picks in next year’s draft, so a 3-5th rounder probably won’t hurt.
