Dilfer did play for the Ravens and Won a Super Bowl with them as their starting QB as well! The 49ers are not thinking about bringing this guy in to be our starting QB... I would strictly be to help in the development of Alex Smith and in case Smith went down with an injury!!! I'ts a great idea and would be well worth the 5th round pick we would most likely be trading for him. Look at the Bengals... They had Carson Palmer, but still had Kitna as well to help him develop... During the playoffs last year when Palmer went down, Kitna came in and almost won that game for the Bengals... Having a Veteran QB @ #2 is a very solid plan! I cant wait to log on in the next couple of days or weeks/whenever and see that we traded for Dilfer... GO NINERS!
