You have to take Davis cause our offence needs improving & our O-line might finally live up to its potential, which means Smith will actually get time to look down field for receivers & with Davis on the field it means that smith will have no more 9 for 30 games with 98 yards & 2 ints. plus we made the signing of AB & if we trade to get Jeavon then I think that we will have a pretty dam good receiving corps thers always going to be players like Huff out there but players like Davis well thats rare so Nolan dont screw up again like you did last year by taking Smith, althoug it should be a no brainer to you take Davis.

VD would be the better pick because we need more weapons on offense to move the chains. I love EJ, but if he spends one more season on injured reserve then we should cut his assWe need production out of all of our players!

Hey Anonymous, I’m not sure the Raiders will go for it either but if they really want a QB they would have trade up one spot to us just to compete against any other team trying to trade up to our spot. I.E. if OAK really wants Young or Lienart or whoever they better call us to see if ARZ or MIN or some other team isn’t trying to get ahead of them. I have thought all along we could hold a QB for ransom to get and extra 2nd or 3rd. (or poss 2 1st from DEN)

you crazy? theres no way the raiders are gonna trade up one spot…that is just absurd
they know there is no way we are going to draft a quarterback so how are we gonna bluff to get a pick outa them
another thing….everyone thinks huff is amazing…have you even watched him play? hes quick and tall but the guy tackles WAY too high…go watch the tapes…he hits the ball carrier in the shoulder pads everytime…and rolls them to the ground..he is only 200 pounds and as a safety that will never fly in the nfl…

At #6, Davis or Hawk….If we trade down, Huff would be nice at picks 10-15. Getting both of Denver’s 1st rounders for #6 might be too much for our boys to pass up…if available!

Whether we draft Huff or Davis we will still come out winners because they both are awesome. But think about this, Alex Smith 1/2 the time last year couldn’t even grip the ball to throw it. So if he can’t grip it, then Smith won’t be able to throw it, thus Davis will never be able to get the ball. Whats that i hear? CODY, CODY, CODY!

Draft Davis @ #7 after we let OAK have either Leinart or Young (pick up extra 2nd or 3rd) then Bing or Simpson with our 2nd. With our 3rd Rd picks we need to get a LB and DL. I may want to keep our 3rd (both) and 4th (too valuable). Say we trade Derrick Hamilton and our 5th for Javon Walker (both coming from ACL injuries).

The secondary is only as good as the pressure being put on the quarterback, drafting a corner/saftey at 6 would turn him into one of the bigger busts of the recent 49er drafts…

go with davis if it comes down to it.
