According to the Associated Press, the 49ers are one of many teams interested in disgruntled Bills receiver Eric Moulds, who has vowed he won’t return to Buffalo.
Moulds has two years left on his contract and has the Bills’ permission to seek some sort of trade. The Bills have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get Moulds to take a pay cut. Seems the Bills are looking for a fourth-round pick or higher for the receiver.
Moulds is looking for a deal similar to the one Isaac Bruce received from the Rams (3 years, $15 million).
Greg Johnson, Moulds’ personal adviser, has spoken with the Houston Texans (who has emerged as a likely candidate to trade for Moulds), Philadelphia Eagles (who Moulds prefers to play with) and New England Patriots regarding a possible trade (unlikely due to playing in same division.) Johnson named Kansas City, Denver and Seattle, along with San Francisco, as teams that have expressed interest.

I would grab moulds and give him a chance to upgrade our offense. Moulds, Bryant, Battle, Johnson, and hopefully Vernon Davis would definitely increase our Offensive strenth.

A 4th round pick is tough though for a 10 year vet, maybe a fifth or later

On asecond thought maybe I wouldn’t even take this trade now that I know he was scheduled to make 7.1 million this season and not take a pay cut. He’s not worth that much money to me

Take him, give next years 4th rounder from Washington!

If we get Moulds we might not get Vernon Davis.

It’s ok if we don’t get VD. First rounders are a crapshoot anyway.

moulds is not worth it for a 4th rounder because he has a cap figure of over 10 million! that would eat all of our cap space…it’s not worth it for one player. the only way the niners get moulds is if the bills cut him

His cap figure is $7.1 mil. Niners have $18.1 mil in cap space…

that would be nice

Moulds according to ESPN is seeking a trade. The team that trades for him will have to restructure his contract. Moulds is looking for a 3 year deal worth $15 million similar to what Isaac Bruce got a big decrease from his cap number of 7.1 million next year. I don’t know if he’s worth it cuz i would like to continue to develop Battle but i wouldn’t complain if it happened.

that would be an ok move… we still need WR’s…I say we go for Jevon walker… WHO’S WITH ME!!

I say we try and get Moulds, 3 year $15 million contract isn’t that bad. But if that doesn’t work out then I say we go for Walker.

I say get Moulds for no higher than a 5th rounder, then restructure his current deal to a 2 or 3 year deal. There’s no guarantee Battle will stay healthy for 16 games so Moulds would be a nice pick up. Then draft a backup TE in the 3rd round.

I wouldnt mind moulds at all. Id rather have walker because of him being younger and possibly cheaper. Also screw VD. Our defense is soo F***** up its not even funny. On offence we got a decent line, our TE coming back, signed a decnet receiver, our franchise QB. I say for the draft we go with Michael Huff, then in the 2nd get a LB like Abdul Hodge or Bobby Carpenter or even Demeco Ryans if he happens to fall that low. Then in the 3rd go for a back up tight end or put more death on tht o line,, or even a receiver like Maurice Stovall whos expected to be there. Dont forget we got 2 3rd round picks so yeah….

Shane, what r u smokin? VD would instantly give our offense more fire power( Gates in SD), and with EJ provide some quick reads when he’s n trouble. Besides EJ walks next year, who cares if we got VD

Shane is right, our defense is f***** up. We lost a starting cornerback from our weak-ass secondary, three playmaking linebackers, and once BY is gone, we don’t have much of a D-line. My first choice would still be Vernon Davis at #6 though, but I wouldn’t mind if we got Huff or Mario Williams
12 hours after the fact.Darrel said:
Draft VD, then go get some pieces 4 the D. Don’t u realize it doesn’t matter how well our D is playing , if our O keeps going 3 and out??

this is a bunch of BS Mike Huff is nothing i hope we dont get him because i think that would be a trash pick we need some one who is prooven like a vet we shouldn’t rely on him right away

we better get huff. vd is cool but, ill solidify my defense first though. pick up dt grady jackson since sam adams signed w/ the bengals. and draft huff..and..vd is cool but we cant get in a shootout w/ a. smith too young and one touchdown thrown.. i also would for walker.
