I recently read that Radar Pictures (Last Samurai) is working on a movie titled ‘Lucky’s Last Stand.’ What does this have to do with the 49ers you might ask, well here is the plot summary of the show:

The story concerns a one-legged homeless man who finds a special, cleated, wooden leg that enables him to become the new star kicker for the San Francisco 49ers.

My guess is that the screenplay was written when the Niners had the kicking trio of Chandler, Cortez, and Pochman. If not for Nedney, I’d give Lucky a shot.

We have a Rashaun Woods update. We repeat we have a Rashaun Woods update. No, he didn’t place first in the local Bass fishing tourney, or buy some new kickass tackle. We have a quote from Woods little brother D’Juan. Here is what D’Juan said recently when asked about his older brother, Rashaun.

“He is back 100 percent and hoping to stay that way, ready to come out and ready to make a contribution to San Francisco’s team,” D’Juan said. “He’s been hit by the injury bug quite a bit. He hasn’t been 100 percent since his senior year and even then he came off surgery.

“He said he is 100 percent and I believe him. I’m anxious to see the type of things he can do because I know his potential.”

Memo to D’Juan: 49er fans will not be holding their breath.
