NOT STAR CALIBER PLAYERS. He'll get those building in the draft. The niners will be a team the steadily improves to a decent team. That is when they'll look to sign a few key FA. That's been the plan all along, why would he change because we have a little cap space. The Eagles have been one of the best teams the last 5 years (injury riddle T.O. mess of last season not included) and they also always have a lot of cap space free. They want to sign to a team that they think can make a run at the SB. So these "High Profile" players won't come to the 49ers. Also these high profile players want about 8-10 million a year. So if we go out and sign them then we have no more room to sign anyone else. We are about 17 million under the cap. So yeah if we would go out and sign 2 high profile players we would not only suck, but be in cap trouble come draft day. Thats the problem none want to go to a rebuilding team.
