Hey, McAddley is not a bad WR. He hasn't been seen much in his NFL career, but I remember him playing for Alabama. He was on the SEC championship team with Shaun Alexander and was really a solid player.

It feels like the Niners are slowly building momentum up for a big signing or trade that nobody expected. How can a team with so much cap room make so little noise on the free agent market? Please for the love of god spend some money York!!!!

The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that LB Brandon Moore, WR Jason McAddley and S Kris Richard have been re-signed.

Moore (6-1, 242) is entering his fifth NFL season. He spent his first three NFL seasons as a top backup linebacker and key special teams player before stepping into a starting role last season when he replaced inside linebacker Jeff Ulbrich after he was placed on injured reserve with a biceps injury. He started in 10 games and finished the season second on the team with 93 tackles (59 solo) and five sacks. Moore’s five sacks ranked fifth among all NFC linebackers.

Moore originally joined San Francisco as a rookie free agent out of Oklahoma in 2002. Moore was waived by the 49ers prior to the start of the regular season and spent two weeks on the New England Patriots practice squad before being signed to the 49ers 53-man roster.

McAddley (6-2, 200) is entering his fifth NFL season. He signed with the 49ers as a free agent last April after playing two seasons with Arizona (2002-03) and one season with Tennessee (2004). He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2002 draft out of Alabama. Last season with the 49ers, McAddley played in 12 games with two starts. He caught seven passes for 125 yards and returned seven kickoffs for 122 yards. McAddley also registered 10 special teams tackles.

Richard (5-11, 190) is entering his fourth NFL season. He signed with the 49ers before the last game of the season (12-27-05) and was active, but did not record any statistics in San Francisco’s victory over Houston (1-1-06). Richard was originally a third round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2002 draft. He has played in 39 career games.
