How big of a difference is this guy for our defense?

not a lot. Most likely brought in for depth, veteran experience. Most likely the 3rd corner behind Rumph & Spencer (at this time)

He could start over Rumph, IMO. He’s a solid player.

Good pickup for us. Adds depth and experience for the young corners to learn from. But still not much of an upgrade.

I doubt he’ll be starting over rumph, dont mistake his adjustments at FS as lack of ability at CB. Rumph will definately be starting at CB this year, could be an all round depth guy or he could be vieing for starting at FS with M. Adams.

So what happened to Nolan’s mantra of saying that we will only sign younger guys with plenty of time in their career left? Harris is a 10 year vet. If that was the case we could get Woodson, but according to Nolan there is no interest in him. I seriously dont understand this organizations philosophy.

Sometimes I don’t understand the few spaz fans that we have. So what if Nolan brings in one guy over the age of 30 at a contract that is probably near the league mininum for his age? He’s brought in to provide depth, teach our younger guys a thing or 2, and probably be a nickel corner. Sometimes experience isn’t necessarily such a bad thing.
Woodson is injured far too much, and his agents are far too big of a headache to deal with at the current time. Notice how Woodson hasn’t really been contacted by any team at this point?

worst cornerback in the leauge. he only got beat about 200 times last year…trust me. what is nolan doing?

ok. i admit that woodson’s agent is a pain in the ass to deal with, but we have to go through the trouble because we would be aquiring a solid player. Harris is easily the worst corner in the league.

CALM ON NINERS… Stop messin with these nobodies. Not only are we not gettin big players were just waiting r cap on these nobody players..

the other problem with woodson is that he hasn’t done squat over the past few years, why do you think the raiders are releasing him to the FA?
its not like the guy has had a stellar year in the past few years, i was excited when he waa almost FA last year, but after seeing his numbers from last year he isn’t quite so desireable.
