The 49ers deny reports from ESPN’s Len Pasquerelli that the Niners and kicker Joe Nedney had reached an agreement in principle.

Nedney, a pending free agent, can not negotiate with the team until Friday, when the veteran-minimum contract he signed last year expires.

However, the 32-year-old Nedney has a good relationship with the 49ers; the sides have said they expect to get a multiyear deal done, perhaps as early as Friday.
